What we do

We prototype the public infrastructure of tomorrow — one postcode at a time.

Big problems are local before they are global. We start where people live: their street, their ward, their watershed. Then we build open, useful, testable technology alongside the people who will use it, and scale what works.

Focus areas

Four colonies. One shared mission.

01

Civic

Tools that make public services transparent, accessible and responsive to every resident.

02

Social

Platforms that strengthen mutual aid, inclusion and the everyday networks communities rely on.

03

Ecological

Sensing, mapping and action tools for climate resilience and healthier local ecosystems.

04

Governance

Infrastructure for participation, accountability and better collective decisions.

How we work

From street-level insight to shipped product

  1. 1

    Listen

Field research with residents, officials and organisations to find the real problem.

  2. 2

    Prototype

Fast, cheap experiments across design, code, data and policy.

  3. 3

    Pilot

Test in a real postcode with real people, measuring what matters.

  4. 4

    Scale & open

Release as open digital public goods others can adopt and adapt.

An ant alone is fragile. A colony builds cities. We build technology the same way.
